I entered 8 Bits to Infinity's Music Motif Challenge II to get some proper songwriting practice (as opposed to just squeezing it in for a couple hours of a full game jam). I turned the prompt into a looping piratesque track. (It loops at 0:00.) I wrote it in Hookpad, then slapped some soundfonts on it in LMMS. I hope you enjoy!
